We all get it - lots of it. Its boring, its time absorbing, it ruins some weekend plans. Late nights caused by overloading of homework? Coming to class being the only one without a book report? Well not after you read this. Follow these few simple rules, you can say hello to an honor roll report card, free time after school, and tons of plans with your friends over the weekend.
IN CLASS
Be prepared. If the school doesn't give out assignment pads, keep a notebook to keep track of all of your homework and projects. You need to know what things you need to turn in the next day, or and what things are long term projects. If your teacher doesn't write homework on the board, they will mention it during the class period. Just watch out for the phrase "...you have to..." because that's when they'll tell you your homework assignment. If your teacher writes homework on the baord, write it down first thing beacause otherwise you may forget.
Avoid doing last night's homework in class. If you are caught in the class working on homework you have to turn in, the teacher will deduct pionts from what you don't even have. If you are caught in other classes, the teacher who took it away may not even give it back to the teacher who assigned it, let alone you.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, *do not* even if yur homework if 50% of your grade, *do not* copy off of someone eles. If caught, you and your friend will get in big trouble. You and your friend - even if their homework was an A+ paper - will receive a zero.
